Bicycle Benefits is a nationwide program that encourages daily bike riding throughout the year. Participating businesses and locations provide discounts or rewards to cyclists who display a program sticker on their bike helmet upon arrival. This initiative boosts ridership, raises awareness, and guides cyclists to local businesses.
Board member Jonathan Blakeslee has been conducting interviews with current Bicycle Benefits Businesses. The Corner Pub Kittery became part of the Bike Benefits group in 2024.
SABR: Tell us about your business!
Corner Pub: We are The Corner Pub! Your local! A community hub with lots of fun, delightful food & bevies. We have a dog-friendly outdoor patio, dog food on the menu, free pool, darts, and other games!
SABR: Why do you do what you do?
Corner Pub: We love being part of the Kittery and Seacoast communities, and we aim to be an inclusive Pub that welcomes everyone! We care deeply about feeding you, watering you, and being a place of community and it's important to us!
SABR: What made you decide to be a supporter of Bicycle Benefits?
Corner Pub: We want to support our community! Bicycles are cool! Cyclists are great! We love folks finding non-car alternatives to visit us!
SABR: What type of discount or benefit do you offer riders with a Bicycle Benefits sticker?
Corner Pub: We offer SABR members $1 off their first beverage.
SABR: Anything else you would like to share with us?
Corner Pub: We usually have plenty of space for bikes in the back part of our patio!
