Coffee Outside: TOP of Mt Agamenticus (York, ME)

We hope to see you for our next SABR Coffee Outside meetup on Sunday, March 17th, 9am at the TOP of Mount Agamenticus in York, Maine.

Park at the base and ride up, or make a longer ride of it by leaving from the York Park & Ride off I-95 or from the Bog Road Fields Sports Complex at 40 Bog Road in York.

The Mount A summit road is a heart-pumping climb and should only be attempted by riders trained and prepared for it. Be sure to have a mechanically sound bike and fully functioning brakes. 

The summit road is just shy of a mile long, switching back and forth, with nearly 400 feet of climbing to reach the lodge on top.

For riders who want to join in but wish to skip the climb, feel free to join us at the top of the mountain and take advantage of the roads around the base of Mount A to squeeze in a ride before or after Coffee Outside.

SABR recommends having front and rear blinking lights and wearing bright colors since the summit road is shared with cars. 

Please obey all rules of the road and be extra cautious when descending.

If making camp-style coffee at the top of the mountain, be aware that fire is restricted to small camp stoves only. Please join SABR in the circle of stones area and only use your camp stove on top of one of the “flat” rocks. You can also bring coffee from home or just bring a mug! See you there!
