SABR Board of Directors
Matt Glen
President
I inherited the bike commuting habit from my father and I’m passing it on to my two children. I enjoy bike rodeos, slow rolls with themes (public art, big trees), and fixing old bikes with SPIF. I have represented SABR on both state and local committees to push for safer infrastructure.
Gerry Duffy
Vice President
I am from Hull, in the north of England and the flattest city in the UK. Very few of my cohort’s families had cars, so I grew up in a predominantly bike culture. I’ve been on dozens of bike tours over the years, at home and abroad. I’ve worked on bike-related advocacy in Portsmouth for years and focused my political work on helping elect and lobby local officials who are committed to expanding infrastructure for bikes.
Annie Poubeau
Treasurer
I sold my car after viewing the documentary “Motherload” in 2020 and bought a Yuba Spicy Curry cargo e-bike. Best decision of my life! I enjoy helping with all things SABR, and my favorite activity is to lead slow rolls with stops at bike benefits businesses (especially those offering snacks). Shop Local & Ride More!
Kenneth Ferrer
Secretary
I’m an architectural designer with an approach that is regenerative and promotes community and ecological well-being. I’m originally from Puerto Rico, and have spent most of my adult life in northern New England engaging with local groups & government on housing and transportation equity.
Jonathan Blakeslee
I have spent most of my life on a bike from a young age, have bike commuted from high school on and briefly worked as a bike messenger in Seattle. These days I still commute when I can, and otherwise enjoy riding gravel, bikepacking and beyond.
Grace Lessner
I learned to ride early on my sisters’ hand-me-down bikes, and now enjoy biking for local transportation, recreation, and exploring rail trails. I’m part of SABR’s communications and fundraising teams.
Kean McDermott
I am a Seacoast transplant (from Maine via DC) who bikes primarily for transportation but also for fun. I’ve been bicycling my whole life and have made it my primary form of transportation for the majority of my adult years. I'm part of SABR’s Advocacy and Fundraising teams and enjoy a good SPIF when I am able.
Dawn Przychodzien
I’ve been part of the Seacoast community since 2003 and passionate about biking for most of my life, including bike tours when traveling. I founded PortCity Bike Tours in 2015 to showcase the city I love. I support the Portsmouth Historical Society and participate in fundraising for their events. I promote safe biking and walking in the region. I helped launch SABR’s Seacoast Pedal It Forward (SPIF) initiative in 2024. SPIF provides refurbished bicycles to community members in need of reliable transportation.
